Modules

  1. Capture without drowning. Event names that describe order, not vanity. What to instrument, what to leave alone.
  2. Queue notation. Drawing tap order as a grid that a designer who missed the meeting can still read.
  3. Drop-off cartography. Where the queue actually stalls, including screens that analytics never titled.
  4. Replay annotation protocol. Twelve sessions before any funnel chart. Written marks, not vibes.
  5. Hypothesis boards for product leads. One testable change to the grid, written in the same notebook.
  6. Critique week. You present a limitation out loud. Guests may sit silent. Applause is not a method.

Learning outcomes

You will leave able to hand a colleague a one-page grid of a live flow and defend every cell. You will know when a heatmap is noise. You will write experiments that change order, not only copy.

You will not leave as a Mixpanel administrator. You will not leave with a certificate designed for social media. You will leave with a notation you can keep using after the cohort calendar ends.

Who it fits

Product managers, researchers, service designers, and senior designers who already see recordings. Junior analysts are welcome if they can obtain twelve sessions from a real or sandbox product.

Arunwadee led research at a Bangkok payments studio for six years before joining Systemqueuegrid. She still annotates with a pencil first. Her critiques are short, specific, and occasionally uncomfortable in the useful way.

Guest sessions are sometimes taught by visiting service designers from Chiang Mai; the syllabus does not change when that happens.

Questions we actually get

Do I need Amplitude or Mixpanel already set up?

You need some event stream or session replay. This course does not teach you how to implement Mixpanel or Amplitude from scratch. If you have only screenshots, start with Open Desk and our sample Thai booking flow instead of pretending you have instrumentation.

Is the Kamala week mandatory?

No. Remote critique is offered whenever ferry schedules, office policy, or health make travel a bad idea. In-person seats are simply quieter.

What is the real limitation of the method?

The grid cannot see taps that never reach your recorder: shared phones, offline queues at a counter, a spouse reading over a shoulder. We require you to say that limitation out loud in critique week so it does not vanish from the slide.
